If you're wondering why I was in Rome, the answer is my dad had a conference there--which I happened to be a photographer for! It's my first time doing event photography, and the whole thing went really well. Everyone there was so kind, and I had such a great time! Here are a few of my favorite pictures. If you've got an event going on you need an affordable photographer for, message me on Instagram, Facebook, or the Contact section! ~Priscilla

a summary of RomeRome. Italy. I got to go to Rome (and it's my first time being overseas!) which was a huge adventure for me. It seemed strange that I was able to go at all, because of complications with my mom's family right before it happened, but everything worked out. We left for the Atlanta International Airport right after church on Sunday. One of my favorite things are airports. They're so big and shiny and, most of all, you see people from all over the world milling about, either from a distant land or going to one. You wonder if they're going to the same place as you, or where they're going. Then the first thing in Italy was trekking all around, getting confused with the train system, and finally entering the Benedictine convent where we were staying. I was kind of lonely. The place was huge and dark and echo-y, with long halls and quiet stillness. However, something cheered me up.... The cats! The first one's name is Mitzi and he was my favorite:) I don't know the others' names, but they were quite curious about me and my camera. On Tuesday and Wednesday my dad and I traveled to downtown Rome. We saw a ton of historical monuments (like the Colosseum!) and on Wednesday we ate at a real Italian meal at an excellent restaurant. It was ABSOLUTELY delicious. I also posted it on my Instagram page. There's nothing like Italian gelato! I don't like ice cream, but I love gelato. The place we went offered all kinds of amazing flavors. Sadly we didn't get to go there again; but I did get to enjoy gelato a few more times in Rome, like on my sixteenth birthday on Saturday! On Saturday we toured downtown Rome and walked ten miles. (That's right. Ten whole MILES). We saw a lot of cathedrals and the Jewish Ghetto (my favorite!) and...I got a thousand pictures. Yikes. And now they're on the computer, and I have to sort through more, but if you'd like me to post some throwbacks on my instagram let me know in the comments. :) There's more that I learned and did in Rome--this is just a brief summary. But if you're interested in seeing more, let me know in the comments! I love Rome and new experiences--and most of all the new people I met and friends I made.
