Hello, everyone! I am back. Seems appropriate that "Sunrise" is the title for this one, right?
Of all the aesthetics--I definitely veer towards dramatic/classical aesthetics--this one might seem uncharacteristic. But there's two reasons it's not. Color. I haven't exactly been a fan of the "light and airy" aesthetic. It is beautiful, of course! Just not my style. When creating "Sunrise", I knew I wanted a bright look, but not a washed out look. The fact that sunrises themselves are full of light, but also vivid color, makes a way for that to happen. Bright feel, deep color. Inspiration. Different photos make you feel differently. While a lot of the Classic or Warm photos might make you feel relaxed or even sleepy (all the shadows!) Sunrise wakes you up. It keeps color, contrast, and a bright exterior. This is perfect for the type of photo inspiring you to do something. Sunrise highlights the subjects and the life in the picture. Instead of communicating a feeling or idea through the entire photo, it highlights a specific area of the photo. It's perfect for detail shots. Perhaps you might not find everything "coherent", but I hope this inspires you! I'm glad to be back with photos. As for the Sunrise Aeshetic, here's what reminds me of Sunrise:
Also, I want to let you all know I'm taking three classes this summer, so if I'm a little MIA--well, that's why. I'm looking forward to the next series, though: Theme. Theme should offer ideas of how you can use these aesthetics in a themed photoshoot. Don't worry if you don't get it now--Theme may take a little slower, but I'm hoping to do a Theme post for every aesthetic. If you have any ideas, comment below! Also, question: Do you like sunrises or sunsets better? 🌙 Priscilla

Here is our next photo aesthetic--I've been pretty excited about this one. "Warm" reminds me of brown colors, fall, coffee...
But before I go into the photos (!) I want to let you know that I've been struggling with stress (especially on social media) lately. The injustice in this country grieves me. Post after post of anger. hate. anxiety. love is the only answer to this problem. Love never fails. if you are where I am, and feel helpless, remember the best thing you can do is love others. If social media is depressing you, I encourage you to take time off it. Social media says it is our only voice. That's not true. You can make a difference without constant time on social media. It's not cowardly or shameful to need a break. That's what I'm going to do--I'll be off Instagram this week. I'll work on photography, writing, and any way to love people I can, and I'd be happy to talk to you on text or email. If you're in the same place, and this is hard for you--I love you. ..... For the warm aesthetic, I think of comfort.
